Aug 2011: Check out the New Revamped CSTA course

The long awaited new revamped and updated CSTA course is here and will begin on 12th September 2011. This 4-day ethical hacking training course is a hands-on journey into the hacking mindset, examining and practically applying the tools and techniques that hackers use to launch “infrastructure” attacks. Practical exercises reinforce theory as you experiment with a Windows 2008 domain (server and workstation) plus a Linux server. Check it out here.

ISO27001 Course scheduled for November 2010

Digicore's CIIP Implementing ISO 27001 Training course will be running on 4th, 5th & 6th November 2010. On this 3-day practical ISO 27001 course, students will learn the component parts of the standard, how to define and risk assess information assets in a way suitable to their organisation, and the essential requirements for obtaining ISO 27001 certification. Delegates who successfully complete the exam included at the end of the training course will be awarded the Certified ISO 27001 Implementation Practitioner (CIIP) qualification. The CIIP is a stand-alone qualification but it can also be used as a module for those who are pursuing a PgC, PgD or MSc in Computer Security and Forensics. Certified Wireless Security Ananlyst course scheduled for October 2010

CWSA course will run over 2 days beginning on 15th October 2010. July 2010: Certified MAC Forensics Specialist (CMFS) course available at Digicore from November 2010.

This 3 day MAC forensics training course gives delegates a practical understanding of data structures and potential evidence as produced in Apple Mac OS X environments along with implementing forensic tools on Mac OS X-based file systems. Delegates who successfully complete the exam included at the end of the training course will be awarded the Certified Mac Forensics Specialist (CMFS) qualification.

 

Apr 2010: Digicore to offer electronic versions of course material on Apple's new iPad:

Digicore today announced that they will be providing course material for their PgC, PcD and MSc programmes loaded on Apple's innovated iPad (when available). "The iPad is a revolution in digital media, and Digicore is embracing this technology head on" said Eamon Noonan Technical Director . "Students will be offered the traditional paper- based manuals combined with additional course material pre-loaded on the iPad. Mar 2010:  New PgC (Post Graduate Certificate) and PgD (Post Graduate Diploma) in Computer Security and Forensics available.

Digicore today announced in conjunction with the University of Bedfordshire the availability of two new course options on their Computer Security and Forensics Track: a PgC and a PgD. The PgC (Post Graduate Certificate) can be achieved by successfully completing 4 modules of the MSc track and a PgD (Post Graduate Diploma) can be achieved by students who successfully complete 7 modules of the MSc track. "Students now have an option to obtain 3rd level qualifications sooner and demonstrate their achievement " said Linda Hennessy Operations Director of Digicore. Feb 2010: Security+ added to Digicore's range of Security courses.

Security+, CompTIA's internationally recognised Security qualification is now available at Digicore. "We see Security+ as an entry point to those wishing to make Security their preferred career track" said Eamon Noonan Technical Director of Digicore. " Students can build their qualification portfolio with this vendor-neutral certification that proves competency in system security, network infrastructure, access control and organizational security". This 4 day technical, highly practical course is designed to equip information security specialists with the knowledge and skills to deal effectively with incident response situations.
